This free national helpline supported by the National Lottery Community Fund aims to provide confidential advice, information and support to anyone aged over 50 who may be worried about their drinking, or anyone worried about a loved one over 50. The helpline number is 0808 801 0750. This will be available 7 days a week from Monday to Friday at 12pm - 8pm and 10am to 4pm at weekends.

Lifeline is the Northern Ireland 24/7 crisis response helpline service for people who are experiencing distress or despair - you will receive immediate help on the phone and should you need further support we can provide a face-to-face counselling appointment in your local area within seven days
NA is a fellowship of men and women who come together once or twice a week to share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem with drugs (street drugs or prescribed) - group meetings take place regularly across NI - you can search the website or call the info line number to find out about one taking place close to you
